413-423 – Calls – I want to hear from two groups of people, those who've been on staff with Crusade, and those who haven't. Is this a good idea or a bad idea? I'll bet most outsiders think it's a bad idea, and most insiders think it's a good idea. What do you think? Are you less inclined, or more inclined, to support Cru staffers because of this? As a former staffer with AIA for a year, I think it's great!

• Dave Bohon (New American, 5/27/2011) Study Shows Born-Again Christians Have Smaller Brains. It gets stranger from there. The story claims "those identified as Protestant who did not have a religious conversion or born-again experience — more common among their evangelical brethren — had a bigger hippocampus." Not sure the researchers understand the meaning of "born again." They never identified "experience" in the story. Then came this oddity: In trying to make sense of the results of their study, researchers suggested that the stress related to embracing religious convictions not held by the majority may account in part for the smaller brain sizes of "born-again' participants. By this reasoning, atheists would have the smallest brains of all.
