400-408Phil Cooke is a Hollywood producer with a Ph.D. in Theology who speaks at workshops, seminars, and conferences all over the world, and he advises the top non-profit and faith-based media organizations on how to better utilize the latest media technologies more effectively.  The studios of Cooke Pictures (cookepictures.com) are located in Burbank, and Phil blogs regularly at philcooke.com.  His latest book is The Last TV Evangelist:  Why The Next Generation Couldn't Care Less About Religious Media…And Why It Matters.  Previous releases:  Branding Faith: Why Some Churches and Non-Profits Impact the Culture and Others Don't, and Creative Christian Media.
We talk about the importance of discernment when it comes to helping our kids make media choices, with the most important thing being watch the movies or television with your kids.  We also talk about the most effective form of advertising:  word of mouth.  And, how we are the most distracted culture in the history of the world, and what this means for teaching the Bible.  His advice?  "Short doesn't mean shallow," especially when it comes to sermons and effective media messaging.

443-452Mike Erre, teaching pastor at Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa (rockharbor.org), on "connecting" with 20-somethings, and using technology to minister to the church all over the world.  He says "plugging in" is a lot more literal these days.  He's been especially challenged recently by Francis Chan, who points out that reading the book of Acts is convicting because the modern church is so "stoppable," when the early church was so "unstoppable."  How can we become "unstoppable" again?  Mike is going in the "decentralization" direction too, like Chan, and will soon be opening some "campuses" and some "church plants."
458-508 Mike Erre.

512-523Mike Erre. What about couples living together who are sexually active – and they're Christians?
