• Regarding this "Tax the Top 2%" Thing – It's important to keep these things in mind:

• 2006 Tax Burdens (the share of the total federal tax revenue)

≥ 1% – 1.65M filers make $388K, provide 40% of all revenue ($408B), at a tax rate of 39.6%.

(Carter's top 1% provided just 19% because they were taxed at 90%)

≥ 7% – 3.8M filers make $200K, provide 62% of all revenue ($522B).

≥ 10% – Make $108K and provide 71% of all revenue

≥ 20% – Provide 88% of all revenue

Bottom 50% of all filers provide just 2.9% of all revenue.

• Obama's 2010 Budget is $3.522T, our population is 304M, this comes to $11,833 per person.

• In 2007 there were 139M taxpayers, thus the 2010 budget comes to $25,573.48 per person.

• Obama promises to tax the top 2%, and give a tax break to 95% of Americans ($13 per week).

• But even if you took 100% of the taxable income from those who make ≥ $500,000 = just $1.3T.

• And even if you took 100% of the taxable income from those who make ≥ $75,000 = just $4T.
