• SFGate, Warring sides in same-sex marriage debate look to court date.  The California Supreme Court will hear the gay marriage law suits on March 4, with a decision due by early June.  This dates back to Proposition 22 in 2000 that passed with 61.4% support to define marriage as that between a man and a woman, and specifically to 2004 when San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom issued marriage licenses to same sex couples leading to over 4,000 gay  over the next month in violation of state law.
