512-523Calls
528-539Alistair Begg, senior pastor at Parkside Church in Cleveland since 1983 and host of Truth For Life (truthforlife.com), heard weekdays on KKLA at 8am, with a preview of our 10th Annual Ministry Appreciation Luncheon this Thursday at 11:30am at Azusa Pacific University.  The event is free but you must register at kkla.com.  Alistair will also be speaking that night at our KKLA Listener event at 7pm at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena.  That too is free, and you need to register at kkla.com.  Alistair's latest book is called A Person of Purpose.
544-554Eric Stanley, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund (telladf.org), tells us about their Pulpit Initiative, a strategic litigation plan aimed at restoring the right of pastors to preach scriptural truth without fear of losing their tax exempt status.  Participating churches will preach a sermon that will challenge the IRS speech restriction on "Pulpit Freedom Sunday," September 28th and then churches the IRS investigates may be involved in an ADF lawsuit against the IRS.
558-608Andrew Pugno, chief attorney with protectmarriage.com, on the California Supreme Court's decision to legalize gay marriage.  Andrew tells us what's next.  They will be coordinating efforts of churches and volunteers to help get the vote out in November.  Protect Marriage will also be providing yard signs.
612-623Mark Earley, former Virginia Attorney General and now president of Prison Fellowship (prisonfellowship.org), with an update on their ministry.  A recent study shows that more than one in 32 adults in the U.S. are in jail or prison, about 2.3 million people, an all-time high costing state governments $50 billion a year and the federal government another $5 billion.  For minorities, the numbers are depressing.  One in 9 black men aged 20-34 is behind bars.  Prison Fellowship also has a program called Next Generation where young adults pursue their call to minister to those behind bars.
• Prison Fellowship, Q&A With Mark Earley.
628-639Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch (judicialwatch.org), on the California Supreme Court's decision to legalize gay marriage.  Judicial Watch filed an amicus brief with the court in support of traditional marriage before the ruling.  Tom tells us what the ramifications of this decision will be nationwide.
(Check out all the events for you and your family on our "community calendar" at kkla.com.)
644-655Jerry Bowyer, nationally-syndicated columnist and chief economist for the Benchmark Financial Network (benchmarkfinancialnetwork.com), on what the economy would look if Obama repeals the Bush tax cuts, raises taxes and implements an expensive universal health care program.
• Jed Babbin (5/19), The New Appeasers.  Will our talking with Iran halt their nuclear weapons program, their support for Hezbollah and terrorism, their desire to annihilate Israel, and their training and equipping soldiers from killing American soldiers in Iraq?
