400-408 – Jennifer Walsh, Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and professor of political science at APU (apu.edu/clas/faculty/jwalsh).  Her primary research interests include crime policy, such as the Three Strikes sentencing movement, prosecutorial decision-making, and the implementation of public policy at all levels of government.

• Heads Up! – Beware of poorly calibrated voting machines that vote for Obama when you tap the screen to vote for Romney.  Obama's touch space is larger than Romney's, so always double check your selection.  And, beware of "Republican" or "Christian" voter guides that have pictures of Romney and Ryan on them, but on four ballot propositions, 30 32 34 and 39, they recommend the wrong way!  They actually instruct you to vote for the big union Democrat way!  The correct positions are No on 30, Yes on 32, No on 34, and No on 39.  Check your mailbox!  The company mine was from was "Voter Guide Slate Cards" in Long Beach.

• Re the Propositions, I've got my Voter's Guide now up at kkla.com, just click on my picture to download the pdf.  Basically, it's YES on 32 (break the unions), 33 (cheaper auto insurance), 35 (strengthen antihuman trafficking), 40 (redistricting is okay), and NO on 30 (no to higher school taxes) and everything else 31 (no to regional government), 34 (no to inmate sex changes and ending the death penalty), 36 (no to weakening Three Strikes), 37 (no to unnecessary food labeling), 38 (no to higher school taxes), 39 (no to higher business taxes).

413-423 – Jennifer Walsh, What about Prop 36 on weakening Three Strikes?

428-438 – Jennifer Walsh, Despite all the other factors, it still comes down to the economy.

"Mitt Romney's fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his 'severely conservative' agenda is laughable," Mr. Reid said in a statement on Friday, trying to puncture Mr. Romney's closing election argument that he'll be able to deliver on the bipartisanship President Obama promised in 2008 but has struggled to live up to. //
