Let's pray for those hit by the massive earthquake and tsunami in Japan!
• The 8.9-magnitude quake struck at 2:46pm Friday rupturing a patch of the earth's crust 186 miles long and 50 miles across, with the epicenter six miles beneath sea level about 80 miles off the eastern coast of Japan, 240 miles northeast of Tokyo.  A 23-foot tsunami followed, destroying thousands of homes, severely hitting the city of Sendai.   A 7-foot wave hit Hawaii, and millions of dollars in damage was done to Crescent City and Santa Cruz.
• 88,000 people are still missing in Japan.
• The immediate fear is a potential meltdown of the core at the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear plant, where radiation inside the core is 1,000 times higher than normal and evacuations are under way within a 10-mile radius.  As of 334pm (Pacific), evacuations are underway around a second nuclear facility.  Japan has 55 nuclear plants, and 2 under construction. (There are 103 reactors operating in the U.S., located at 64 sites in 31 states, which produce 20% of the country's electricity.  Worldwide, there are 441 reactors in 30 countries, which generate 17% of Earth's power.  Another 24 units are under construction.)

What do you think of the name of an ABC pilot for the fall entitled "Good Christian Bitches"?  (The B-word that rhymes with riches.) Can you imagine "Good Muslim Bitches" or "Good Jewish Bitches"?  Or, how about a black comedy by that name?  What's your reaction to Disney-owned ABC's new offering by Darren Star, who gave us 90210, Sex and the City, and Melrose Place?  And, if that wasn't offensive enough, Disney is planning on a second (!) show with the B-word in the title, "Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23."
