Today we're partnering with the Union Rescue Mission to help those less fortunate this Thanksgiving season.  Every night, 20,000 families with young children are left to sleep on the streets of Los Angeles County.  URM now serves an average of 3,134 meals a day – an increase of 25% from last Thanksgiving – that's an additional 628 meals every day.  Today over 1,031 people temporarily call URM Home, and 130 of these are kids.
Your gift of $1.84 will help feed and care for one person at the URM. $37 will help feed and care for 20 people at the URM.
An additional gift of $50, $75 or more will help end homelessness as we know it by providing shelter, life transformation and hope to those battling homelessness.
You are the Mission!  URM has a fourfold strategy to end homelessness as we know it:  Reach, Rescue, Renew, Restore.
The way home begins with a meal.
Call (866) 950-2099 to help.  SLOW.
Or donate on line at kkla.com.
You can also text your gift to 27138, make your message "urm-space-and then the amount you want to give."  You'll receive a call back to complete your donation.
Joining us are David Harms and Andy Bales, the CEO of the Union Rescue Mission (urm.org).
