My "How Frank's Voting on November 2" pdf is now up at frankpastore.com.

400-408 – John Colbert (johncolbertforcongress.com) is the conservative-businessman running against incumbent liberal-Democrat Adam Schiff in the 29th Congressional District that includes Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale, Altadena, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Temple City, and parts of neighboring cities.  John was a Cobra Helicopter crew chief in Alaska for the Army before joining the LA County Sheriff's Department, where he served for 13 ½ years, working his way up to become the highest-level investigator in the Department, and starting one of the world's first computer forensic crime labs.  John left the Department to start a little software company that would go on to develop world-class computer forensic resources for use by civilian, government and law enforcement investigators to be used in counter-intelligence operations, anti-terrorism task forces, child pornography prevention and corporate espionage and hacking attacks.  John has the endorsement of not only Speaker Newt Gingrich, and the entire Republican delegation in California, but also the support of the Tea Parties – including the Pasadena Patriots.  He and his wife Tamara have raised three boys and live in Altadena.

• Adam Schiff lives in Maryland where his kids go to school and his wife is on the PTA, and he only has an apartment in Burbank.  How many of you in the 29th district knew that?

413-423 – John Colbert

428-437 – • LAT Blog (10/21/2010) Obama's holding a rally Friday at USC -- expect street closures and traffic gridlock.

• Fox News (10/21/2010) NPR Fires Juan Williams After O'Reilly Appearance.

• Juan Williams (10/21/2010) I Was Fired for Telling the Truth.

• LAT (10/21/2010) In wake of NPR controversy, Fox News gives Juan Williams an expanded role.  The cable news network signs the analyst to a new three-year contract for nearly $2 million. Meanwhile, conservative figures blast the public radio network for its response to Williams' comments about Muslims.

• Daily Caller (10/21/2010) Muslims speak out against NPR's political correctness.

(1:23) Juan Williams on O'Reilly on Fox News Monday night 10/18/2010.  "So where am I going wrong, Juan?"

(:10) Juan Williams, "But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they're identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."

(1:31) JW Firing. (Juan Williams on Fox News @ 10/21/2010).

(:11) JW Firing short. "She went on to say, 'Well, that crosses the line.'  And I said, 'What line is that?'  And she went on to somehow suggest that I had made a bigoted statement.  And I said, 'It's not a bigoted statement.'"

(:26) Vivian Schiller 1. (Vivian Schiller, NPR CEO, speaks at the Atlanta Press Club newsmaker luncheon @ 10/21/2010), says Juan Williams should have kept his feelings about Muslims between himself and "his psychiatrist or his publicist."

(:07) Vivian short.

443-452 – Are you more "nervous and worried" if you see someone getting on a plane in Muslim garb that is "first and foremost identifying themselves as a Muslim"?

458-508 – • It's wrong to judge a person's moral value based upon their appearance, but the Bible tells us to be vigilant, alert, "wise as serpents, and gentle as doves," and discerning.  How are we to be "wise" if we don't make distinctions, be discerning, and read all the indicators?  How do you spot the "wolves in sheep clothing?"  The liar, deceiver, the con-artist?  Only a fool takes a stranger at his word, which is why character and integrity, that is trust, matter so much.

• Matthew 10:16 – "Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

• I Peter 5:8-9 – "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith...."

• Colossians 2:6-8 – "As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ."

• Hebrews 5:12-14 – "...everyone who partakes only of milk [elementary teaching] is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food [solid Biblical teaching] belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

• 2 Timothy 4:2-5 – "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;  and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things..."

• Proverbs 15:21 – "Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment, But a man of understanding walks uprightly."

• Philippians 1:9-11 – "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God."

• Luke 12:56-57 – "You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time? Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?"

• Romans 12:2 – "...do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

• Ephesians 5:8-11 – "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them."

558-608 – • BBC (10/17/2010) Merkel says German multicultural society has failed.  There are 4 million Muslims within the German population of 82 million, or about 5%.  In America, with our population of about 300 million people, 5% would be about 15 million Muslims.  In reality, there's "only" about 2.3 million Muslims now.  So, there would be about 7 times as many.  The question is, as she is raising, are they assimilating?

(:25) The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, told a gathering of younger members of her conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party on Saturday, "We are a country, which at the beginning of the 1960's actually brought guest workers to Germany.  Now, they live with us.  And we lied to ourselves a while, saying,'They won't stay, and that they will disappear again one day.'  That's not the reality.  This multicultural approach, saying that we simply live, side by side, and are happy about each other, this approach has failed, utterly failed."

(:26) Merkel, "We should not be a country either which gives the impression to the outside world that those who don't speak German immediately or who weren't raised speaking German, are not welcome here. That would do great damage to our country.  Companies will go elsewhere because they won't find the people to work here anymore. That means, that the demand for integration is one of our key tasks for the times to come.
