428-437 Dr. Peter Jones, director of the truthXchange (truthxchange.com), reaches college and university students who've embraced the new – which is actually ancient – pagan spirituality of gnosticism.  We aren't becoming increasingly secular and naturalistic, but more pagan and gnostic in Western culture.  We are embracing "one-ism" over "two-ism," or homocosmology over heterocosmology (i.e., same over different).  He lays it all out in his latest On Global Wizardry: Techniques of Pagan Spirituality and a Christian Response (2010).  His forthcoming book is entitled The Gnostic Empire Strikes Back.

• Peter is holding the X-Change Conference at the Rock Church in San Diego on June 17-18 with Francis Chan, Mark Driscoll, Kevin Deyoung – two full days of great speakers warning us not to exchange the truth for a lie.   Discounts are available for groups of 3 or more at just $50 a seat.  Call (877) 840-0457 or go online at thexchangeconference.com.

••458-508Andrew Marin, president and founder The Marin Foundation (themarinfoundation.org), a nonprofit that seeks to build bridges between the GLBT community and the religious community, and blogs regularly loveisanorientation.com, his latest book is entitled Love Is An Orientation: Elevating The Conversation With The Gay Community.  If you'd like to contact Andrew directly about maybe a friend or loved one in the gay community, and you've got questions how to handle it, you can email him at andrew@themarinfoundation.org, or call him at (773) 572-5983.  Today we talk about how I handled a call from Heather on Tuesday, a lesbian from Irvine.  I may have won the argument, but I lost the person.  Andrew lays out what I could have done better.

••528-538Bishop Ken Ulmer, senior pastor of Faithful Central Bible Church (faithfulcentral.com), President of The King's College and Seminary (kingsseminary.edu), and author of The Champion in You.  Ken joins Andrew Marin to talk about what we can do better in the Christian community in our relationships with those in the gay and lesbian community.

558-608 Summary of the past hour, and admission that I handled the call with Heather un-lovingly.

612-623 – • CST (2/22/2010) JOAN AND DAVID LINCOLN PLEDGE $10 MILLION TO THE CLAREMONT UNIVERSITY PROJECT.  I want to thank Russ Reeves, Academic Dean at Providence Christian College in Ontario, for sending me this link.  I had speculated last night that it could be Muslim money that's funding the new Claremont School of Theology's effort to become the first "truly multi-faith American seminary."  I was wrong.  It was from the Lincoln's.

•• LA Times (6/9/2010) Claremont seminary reaches beyond Christianity.  Calling multi-faith expansion the next step, the school will offer training for Muslims and Jews in a program that strains its historic ties to the Methodist Church.  Who is bankrolling the Claremont School of Theology?  Where is the $10 million coming from?  I wouldn't be surprised if it's Muslim money.
