400-408 Jim Gott, former major league pitcher for 13 seasons, including 1990-1994 with the Dodgers, lives here in LA with his wife Cathy and their six children, two of whom are sons with autism (CJ age 22, and Danny age 16).   They're heavily involved with Danny's Farm (dannysfarm.com) at Altadena Stables, a unique petting zoo and events-facility designed for children with special needs including autism.  Jim's son Danny has autism and loves animals, and it's that love that gave birth to Danny's Farm.  (Watch a YouTube video here.)  Danny's Farm is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am-1:30 pm.  If autism has touched your life, Jim and Cathy would love to connect with you.  Contact them through the dannysfarm.com website.

• This Sunday (April 18th) is Autism Awareness Day at Dodger Stadium, when the Dodgers take on the Giants, and they've got some special, discounted seats if you visit dodgers.com/autism.

458-508Kenny Luck, Founder and President of Everyman Ministries (everymanministries.com) and Men's Pastor at Saddleback (saddleback.com).  His latest book is Fight: Are You Willing To Pick A Fight With Evil?  Don't forget to sign up for his free, thrice weekly, "In Your Corner" encouragement email at his website!  Today, we talk to the guys about becoming a better husband, father, and friend, bouncing off this great truism:  "If you don't do relationships right, you can't do life right."  It's along the lines of the question, "Are you making a living, or making a life?"  It gets to our priorities.  Here's a challenge, ask your kids three questions:  1) Do you feel that daddy loves mommy and how do you know?  2) Do you feel that I spend enough time talking to you?  And 3) How can I be a better dad?

528-538Mary Hunt runs debtproofliving.com, a ministry to help people out of financial bondage, something she knows all too well.  She's written 13 books that have sold more than 1.3 million copies, including her latest is Live Your Life for Half the Price: Without Sacrificing the Life You Love.  Today we talk about how to begin the process of getting out of financial bondage.  The first three steps are:  1) Track what happens to every dime you make for a week.  2) Implement an austerity budget where you LBYM – live below your means.  And 3) Begin stockpiling cash – it's better to build a 3-month supply of cash than to pay down your credit card debt, and she explains why.

612-623John Collins, Executive Director of the Harvest Crusades (harvest.org), invites people to get involved in serving at this year's Harvest Crusade at Angel Stadium August 6-7-8, and invites a few more golfers to join us this Monday, April 19th, at Dove Canyon Country Club for the Christopher Laurie Memorial Golf Classic.  And, he shares the cool story about Fieldy, the bassist for the rock band Korn, who's chosen to donate his custom Harley to be auctioned off on eBay with all proceeds going to fund this year's crusade.  Check out the details for everything at harvest.org.
