• At one point, the psychiatrists said, a former psychiatric director at Walter Reed, Scott Moran, sought to have Hasan dismissed, reportedly saying, "I do not think Hasan should carry the Walter Reed name." Moran, reached by NPR, declined to comment.  But the administrative procedure for removing a resident at Walter Reed was considered onerous, according to the psychiatrists, and a key official on a review committee reportedly asked how it might look to terminate a key resident who happened to be a Muslim.
The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Hasan warned his medical colleagues a year and a half ago that to "decrease adverse events," the U.S. military should allow Muslim soldiers to be released as conscientious objectors rather than force them to fight fellow Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan.  "It's getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims," Hasan said in a presentation to senior Army doctors, a copy of which was obtained by the Post.

428-437John Blandford, Regional Director for GMO (globalmediaoutreach.com), the internet arm of Campus Crusade.  John is in charge of the new church and denominational partnerships in Southern California that started this past June.  Visit greatcommission2020.com to see how many visitors are accepting Christ at globalmediaoutreach.com!  2 million people per day are "looking for God" on the internet (they are Googling "God," "Jesus," "prayer," etc).  About 10-15% of those folks are being directed to 1 of our 100 evangelistic websites in the top 12 languages in the world (where they read or hear the Gospel via the 4 Spiritual Laws) and are given an opportunity to pray to receive Christ.  We have seen over 1 million people per month indicate they have prayed to receive Christ for 5 successive months on our sites!  If you have a heart for this ministry, you can contact John at gmojohn@gmail.com or their office at 310-370-2627.  They're hosting a luncheon this Thursday at 11:30am-1:00pm in Santa Ana.  Pastors and church staff can RSVP to the email above and they'll send you more details.  To prevent "wing nuts" from getting involved, they've chosen to work through church partnerships to keep the online missionaries accountable and resourced.  Check out the follow-up questions site as well at GotQuestions.org.
