JHOP Attacked by Angry Homosexual Mob - The San Francisco chapter of Justice House of Prayer (JHOP), a national prayer group with whom FRC works and prays, was attacked by an angry mob of homosexuals Friday night. Belief.net says local reporters "whitewashed" the story (see KTVU TV), saying hate was expressed from both sides, while the hate was one-sided (see Real Story & Video).
This past Friday night, the JHOP young people were praying and singing on a street corner, as they have done each Friday night for three years, when a costumed homosexual man, wearing a nun's headdress began to wrap the group in a large white cloth. Others joined in to abuse them verbally and physically and with lewd language and gestures. Hot coffee was thrown on two young women. The number of attackers grew. Some of the criminal abuse is unmentionable. Word got around and the bars began to empty out as homosexuals rushed to join the frenzy. A hundred police officers in riot gear were dispatched to protect and transport the Christians to safety.
Another angry mob abused an elderly lady in Palm Springs (see Video). Reporters characterized this scene, too, as "a lot of hate...from both sides"?! We saw only one-sided abuse.
On Sunday, November 9, thirty homosexuals stormed Mount Hope Church in Lansing, Michigan. Some inside pretended to worship; others outside dressed in pink and black and beat on buckets shouting "Jesus was a homo" by megaphone. When a signal was given, protesters inside began to disrupt the service, pulling a fire alarm and storming the pulpit to unfurl a mammoth rainbow-colored flag inscribed, "IT'S OKAY TO BE GAY! BASH BACK!" They vandalized the church building, shouted obscenities, and littered the church with condoms, glitter, confetti, and pink fabric.
They later issued a press release reading "So long as bigots kill us in the streets, this pack of wolves will continue to BASH BACK!" They planned their attack for over a month, are planning more elsewhere, and are inviting others to join them. (See Michigan 1, Michigan Video).
