Barack Obama portrays himself as a religious man.  He says he's a believing Christian, and he's campaigned heavily for the votes of American Christians.  But does Barack Obama promote the values of biblical Christianity?
My name is Frank Pastore, and I'm the host of "The Frank Pastore Show" on 99.5 KKLA  in Los Angeles, California.  Over the course of my life, I've made the journey from cocky major league baseball pitcher to a believer in the divinity of Christ and the eternal truth of His teachings.  I believe, like so many millions of my fellow Americans, that the Bible is the Word of God, that Christianity is true, and that Jesus is the Son of God, and therefore that His values are my values.
But are they Barack Obama's values?  Over the next few minutes, we'll examine Obama's views on the Bible and the role of religion in politics;  his views on abortion, infanticide, same-sex marriage, and the ordination of homosexual clergy; his philosophy of the courts, his view of judges who make law rather than interpreting it; his socialistic tax policy to "spread the wealth around"; his views on the American military; and his beliefs how we should all educate our children.

OBAMA ON THE BIBLE AND ITS ROLE IN AMERICAN LIFE:  Obama says he's a religious man.  But during a 2006 speech on the role of religion in politics, Obama derided the Bible as antiquated and out-of-touch.  He also stated that religious values should not be the basis for policy-making, a statement which utterly rejects the philosophy of the founding fathers.
Obama's pastor of 20 years, Jeremiah Wright, is a radical leftist whose church supports abortion, same-sex marriage, and the ordination of homosexual clergy.  Wright himself has rejected the idea that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life – in essence, rejecting the foundational idea of Christianity.  To add insult to injury, Wright is close with Nation of Islam leader, anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, who calls Christianity a "white man's religion" and he recently labeled Senator Obama the Messiah.

OBAMA ON ABORTION:  On abortion, Senator Obama is downright frightening.  He says the question of when life begins is "beyond his pay grade," but when he was a State Senator in Illinois, he answered the question clearly:  to Barack Obama, the right to life doesn't even trump the mother's so-called right to choose even after a child is born.  This is worse than abortion, it's infanticide, pure and simple.

OBAMA ON GAY MARRIAGE:  Senator Obama pretends he opposes gay marriage, but he really opposes the Bible and any defense of traditional marriage.  An obscure passage in Romans, Senator Obama? 
Romans 1:26-27 is clear as daylight on the issue of homosexuality: "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."
The Old Testament isn't vague, either.  "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination," says Leviticus 18:22.
Apparently, judging God's word is not above Senator Obama's pay grade, even if protecting infants is. 
Obama's support for the gay agenda isn't limited to his words.  He opposes the Defense of Marriage Act, which would prevent the courts from imposing same-sex marriage on every state.  And he supported the recent California Supreme Court's decision to legalize same-sex marriage.

OBAMA ON TAXES: Senator Obama cites scripture to support his socialistic tax agenda.  At Saddleback Church, for example, Obama stated that redistribution of wealth was mandated by the Book of Matthew.
This, of course, is not only wrong, but dangerous.  Christianity does not teach socialism.  The early church voluntarily shared their resources with each other (Acts 4:32), they weren't taxed by the government to do so.  The Bible also teaches "Thou shalt not steal" (Exodus 20:15), in fact it's a Commandment.
When men become more dependent upon the State than God, the State becomes their God.  History teaches that religious freedom can only flourish if there's economic freedom.  And, economic freedom can only flourish if there is political freedom. 
Our Founders knew this.  They knew unalienable rights can only come from God, not government.   They knew "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" were the fundamental rights.  They enshrined this belief in our Declaration of Independence:  "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

OBAMA ON THE MILITARY:   Christianity is not pacifism.  The Bible does not teach we are to allow evil to prosper.  "Hate evil, you who love the LORD," says Psalm 97:10.  Unless we hate evil, we will not have the courage to confront and defeat it.  Senator Obama believes we should retreat from Iraq.  He voted against funding our troops in the field.  He has pledged to cut the military, and he pledges to personally meet with genocidal dictators all over the world.
Obama still lives in a September 10th world.  But 9/11 showed that our world is anything but friendly, and that, as George Orwell supposedly put it, "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."  Obama wants to disarm those men.

OBAMA ON EDUCATION:  The Bible teaches, "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it," (Prov. 22:6).  Obama believes this too.  We can know how he will "improve" public education by what he did when he ran the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, whose job it was to improve Chicago public schools.  Instead of improving test scores, he spent millions of dollars funding radical causes and advancing leftist political agendas – many of them directed by unrepentant terrorist William Ayers.  "Train up a child"?  Yes, he will train them up in the same radical agendas as his educational mentor, William Ayers, not those of the Bible.

SUMMARY:  Not just abortion, but infanticide.  Not just civil unions, but same-sex marriage.  Not just "tax and spend", but full-blown Marxist "redistribution of the wealth."  Not just military withdrawal, but retreat.  Not victory, but defeat.  And more Supreme Court justices who won't just interpret the law, but ones that will make the law.  This is what a President Obama will give us.

CONCLUSION:  After looking at Barack Obama's words and his deeds, it is clear that they do not reflect biblical Christianity.  It is America's Judeo-Christian heritage, and our continued adherence to those principles, that make us the last best hope for mankind.  We cannot hope to be that shining city on a hill without the ongoing grace of God and the guidance of His Word.  Voting for a man who sides against that Word – voting for a man who twists that Word to his own ends – voting for a man who sees himself as a messianic figure in his own right – is not merely dangerous.  It means standing in opposition to the work of God on earth, as expressed through His Son Jesus Christ.  Let there be no more deceit; let there be no more obfuscation.  The Christian case against Barack Obama is clear.  No believing Christian should vote for Barack Obama on November 4.
