Key Global Warming Sites:

global warming
was "unequivocal" and that manmade greenhouse gas emissions were very likely part of the problem.  31,000 vs. 51, who's got the gravitas?

528-538David Barton, founder and president of Wallbuilders (wallbuilders.com
), reports on the Hate Crimes Bill that passed the House yesterday 249-175.  Essentially, as the sites below make clear, the target all along has been to silence Christian pastors from reading the Bible in the pulpit, and publicly saying "homosexuality is a sin."  We're now there.  David has compiled 44 pages of cases against Christians over the past few years who have been prosecuted for sharing their faith – here in America.  The persecution of the church has begun under president Barack Obama.  He won by 7 million votes, and over 8 million "Christians" voted for him.  "We" voted for our own persecution.  God help us.
.
The committee rejected a number of amendments offered by several members seeking to protect religious liberty, to protect the unborn, to protect against violence by illegal aliens, and to clarify the bill's meanings of "gender identity" and "sexual orientation."
One of the rejected proposals was offered by Rep. Louis Gohmert, R-Texas, who sought to ensure ministers could not be prosecuted for abetting a "hate crime" simply because they preach from the Bible or another religious book.
When a nearly identical plan was developed in the last Congress, Rep. Artur Davis, D-Ala., admitted during a hearing on the bill it could be used to prosecute pastors merely for preaching under the premise that they could be "inducing" violence in someone.
The bill ultimately failed then because President Bush determined it was unnecessary – the crimes banned in the legislation already are addressed by other laws – and it probably was unconstitutional.

558-608(:58) Miss CA 1, Carrie Prejean answers Perez Hilton's question about gay marriage at the Miss USA contest in Las Vegas (4/19/09). Carrie got 1st runner up to the new Miss USA Kristen Dalton from North Carolina.

(:15) Miss CA 1b. "I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised. And that's how I think it should be between a man and a woman."

(:09) Perez Hilton 1b, "Now let me explain to you. She lost not because she doesn't believe in gay marriage. Miss California lost because she is a dumb b----. Okay?"

(:12) Perez Hilton 4a, "She's a Christian, but I don't want her talking about Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, because that's offensive to all of the Jewish Americans, all the Muslim Americans, to all the atheist Americans."

(:07) Perez Hilton 4b, "And Miss USA is not a person that is alienating, Miss USA is not a person that is not politically incorrect."

(:13) Miss CA 3a, "I knew that I was not going to win because of my answer, because I had spoken from my heart, for my beliefs, and for my God."

(:30) Miss CA 3b, Lauer asks, "What about a do-over? Would you have answered it differently?" She says, "No, I wouldn't have answered differently…It's not about being politically correct. For me, it was being biblically correct."

(:34) Miss CA 3c, Lauer asks basically, "Will this usher in a more PC era?" She says, "When I'm asked a specific question, I'm going to give a specific answer. I'm not going to stand in the middle. I'm going to take one side or another."

(:48) Miss CA 3d, Lauer says, "Carrie you came so close…" Carrie says she's so thankful…

(:19) Miss CA 3d1, "I don't take back what I said, I was true to myself, and I know now I can go out and speak to young people about standing up for what you believe in and never compromising anything, for anyone or anything, even if it is the crown of Miss USA."

(:28) Shanna Moakler 1a, Miss California State Director, says Carrie wasn't "compassionate."

(:32) Shanna Moakler 1b, says Carrie "betrayed" the "sponsors" and didn't show "sensitivity."

(:30) Miss CA 4, Carrie is with Neil Cavuto and says the majority of Californians agreed with her opinion, by supporting Prop 8.

612-623Carrie Prejean, is the reigning Miss California 2009 and placed first runner up in the Miss USA 2009 pageant. During the Miss USA 2009 competition, in response to a question from Perez Hilton, Carrie controversially said "marriage should be between a man and a woman."

.  Mr. Brooks is president of the American Enterprise Institute.
The government has been abetting this trend for years by exempting an increasing number of Americans from federal taxation. My colleague Adam Lerrick showed in these pages last year that the percentage of American adults who have no federal income-tax liability will rise to 49% from 40% under Mr. Obama's tax plan. Another 11% will pay less than 5% of their income in federal income taxes and less than $1,000 in total.
To put a modern twist on the old axiom, a man who is not a socialist at 20 has no heart; a man who is still a socialist at 40 either has no head, or pays no taxes. Social Democrats are working to create a society where the majority are net recipients of the "sharing economy." They are fighting a culture war of attrition with economic tools. Defenders of capitalism risk getting caught flat-footed with increasingly antiquated arguments that free enterprise is a Main Street pocketbook issue. Progressives are working relentlessly to see that it is not.
Advocates of free enterprise must learn from the growing grass-roots protests, and make the moral case for freedom and entrepreneurship. They have to declare that it is a moral issue to confiscate more income from the minority simply because the government can. It's also a moral issue to lower the rewards for entrepreneurial success, and to spend what we don't have without regard for our children's future.
.

53% of all American adults prefer capitalism, 20% socialism, 27% aren't sure.

37% of American adults under 30 prefer capitalism, 33% socialism, and 30% are undecided.

49% of American "30-somethings" prefer capitalism, 26% socialism.

Adults over 40 and investors strongly favor capitalism.

Over 90% of Republicans favor capitalism (11-to-1 margin).

Democrats are almost evenly split: 39% prefer capitalism, 30% prefer socialism.

Undecideds favor capitalism 48%, and socialism 21%.

My Summary:  Under Obama's plan for the new Government Motors, the total stake by all three owners will be $64 billion, broken down this way.  Bondholders will have paid $27.2 billion (42% of the total) and get merely a 10% ownership stake.  The UAW will contribute $10 billion (15.6% of the total) and get a 39% ownership stake.  The Federal Government will contribute $27 billion (42% of the total) and get a 51% ownership stake.
How can the bondholders contribute 42% and get just 10% ownership?
How can the UAW contribute 16% and get 39%?
How can Obama contribute 42% and get 51%?
The answer?  Obama is giving – not selling – GM to the UAW.  Obama and the UAW will own 90% of the new Government Motors.  This is nationalization of a major industry.  Get ready, more is coming.
